Chicago Fire Depart. 9/I I Memorial Stair Climb to be held on September 10, 2011 to pay tribute on this 10th anniversary of the 9/11 tragedies. This stair climb will
be held at the Aon Building 200 E. Randolph Street and will honor those FDNY members who gave
their lives selflessly so that others might live.

Registration fee is $25 per climber. Those who register are encouraged to raise $100 that will go to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. Each firehouse will have the opportunity to participate by sponsoring a floor. The cost will be $100 per floor.
The stair climb will be held at the Aon Building located at 200 E. Randolph. The climb will begin promptly at 0911 on Saturday, September 10th (2B)(EMS 3). There will be a short ceremony prior to the start that will include a moment of silence, a prayer, and a musical selection by the CFD Pipes and Drums. Individual step off times will be given at the time of packet/bib pick up. Please arrive at the Aon Building 30 minutes early.
Registration will be online only, with no registration on the day of the event. The event is open to CFD members registering from August 3rd until August 19th. Registration then opens to the general public on August 20th thru the final date of September 2nd. The event is limited to 686 climbers. On Tuesday & Wednesday, September 6th & 7th, t-shirt/bib pickup will take place at Fire Academy South, 1338 S. Clinton from 0800 to 1900 hours. There will be no t-shirt/bib pickup on the morning of the climb. All materials must be picked up prior to the climb.
Climbers are encouraged to wear appropriate athletic gear. Bunker gear is not allowed, members may wear helmets to encourage company pride.
House sponsorship or individual companies will be able and are encouraged to sponsor a floor. This can easily be accomplished by writing a $100 check to the Gold Badge Society and forward by department mail to District 1, attention Dave Gates or send by US mail to 3400 W. 111th St. PMB 356, Chicago, IL 60655
